Our Educational Leadership degrees and licensure programs at The University of St. Thomas give teachers tools they need to lead and improve students' lives. We have been developing ethical educators who are prepared to lead effectively and inclusively in diverse settings for over 50 years. And we have our sights set on impacting the future of education. We offer innovative programs that result in transformational learning and model collaboration and continuous improvement.

At St. Thomas, we offer a wide variety of programs to make sure we have the right option for you no matter where you are in your education journey. We offer master's and doctoral degrees, administrative licenses, and several continuing education courses on key educational topics.

Our MA in Educational Leadership program develops a strong foundation and understanding of leadership in education. Our program will help you analyze and implement sound administrative policy, create successful strategies for change and put into service leading practices for the day-to-day needs of your schools.

Our LSA program prepares students for leadership roles in higher education through a unique focus on leadership, social justice and theory-to-practice; all of which provides an opportunity for broad application upon graduation.

Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Learning

Our Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Learning seeks to prepare current and future K-12, higher education, and adult education leaders to engage in and advocate for continuous improvement, systematic reform and social justice within educational institutions and communities.

Our doctoral programs will prepare you to lead across a variety of organizations, industries, and sectors with a focus on practitioner-based learning. You will gain a global perspective and practical skills necessary to meet today's leadership challenges.

Education Specialist (EdS) Degree

The EdS degree offers a variety of tracks for you to pursue a leadership role in the field of education as a licensed principal, superintendent, or director of special education.

The 12-credit Learning Technology Leadership and Innovation (LTLI) Graduate Certificate will prepare you to advocate for technology innovation and lead equitable learning initiatives. You'll develop and build capacity for leading school or university-wide initiatives that leverage learning technologies to support today's learners in an ever-evolving digital learning environment.
