Connecting with Communities

Events & Groups

Our Events and Groups

The School of Education is changing the way educators educate. Our program focuses on collaborative, community-based solutions to today's complex problems in Pre-K-12 education, higher education and adult education. One of the ways we do this is through events and group partnerships.

Annual events like the Hubbs Children's Literature Conference and the Step-Up Boys Summer Summit stand on one of our 4 cornerstones here at the School of Education: Connecting with Communities. Through these collaborative events and partnerships, we work to ensure the success of our graduates and alumni as well as the students, schools and communities where they serve.

Thanks to the leadership of our deans, current and former, the School of Education has become a thought convener when it comes to issues impacting education, both locally and nationally. This is especially on display through our monthly Dean's Forums, which feature candid conversations on race, equity and education.
